Roadtrip started here in the mountains of Washington
Pioneer cabin outside of Teddy Roosevelt Natl Park. I lived in a cabin this size up on Cortez Island, B.C., Canada for a year back in 1971 with my Malemute dog as company.

My dear friend Jim who I went to military school with back in '62-'63 for our last years of highschool. Our school, Peacock Military Academy, was in San Antonio, Texas. Jim's home (built in 1888) is a stone's throw from Lake Michigan.

No, that's not Jim's grandson, that is his son Nelson. Although Jim is now in his 60's, he just couldn't pass up the joy of his wanting to have a baby around the house again.

Canal bridge. Sometimes there will be large vessels using the canal that will span the width of the canal, clearing on either side by a matter of a few bouy's buffering them.

Second campsite, well for Ken anyways. Jim showed us the playhouse he built in back and Ken claimed it for his sleeping space so he could sleep outside on the hard floor for his back. I opted for the spacious bedroom offered ... hehe.

This is the home my friend Dean built for him and his woman down on his stud farm in Lexington, Kentucky. Heading down there after we stop to visit with Buff in Indianapolis.
